The war between the two celestial kingdoms, Saeloria and Draythar, continues to rage on. Firdaus El-Darymli is a grade eight student at Woodroffe Avenue Public School in Ottawa, Ontario. Her aspiration and passion for writing began at her school in B.C. in grade four. Her teacher had introduced her to Ripple Foundation’s Kids Write for Kids Writing Competition, which has encouraged her to join several writing competitions and continue writing ever since. Firdaus enjoys reading all kinds of different books, however her favourites are: A Little Princess, Pax, The Hidden Life of Trees, and Les Miserables. Aside from writing and reading, Firdaus likes to swim, play her violin, and learn more about space and the consciousness of trees and plants. She also enjoys cross-stitching. Although Firdaus is not quite sure what she wants to be in the future, some options she would consider are an author, an astrophysicist, or an electrical engineer. She would like to thank her friends Kaitlyn and Rosa for their thoughtful feedback and support throughout her writing process.
