Sophie Fifen is a grade six student from Fort St. John, British Columbia, who has loved storytelling since she was in grade one. She began by writing stories about princes, princesses, and magical adventures, and her passion for writing has continued to grow ever since. Today, she enjoys creating stories that explore courage, hope, and perseverance. When she is not writing, Sophie enjoys reading, spending time with family and friends, and exploring her creativity through different activities.
Sophie Riches is an Indigenous-Canadian illustrator and certified scribbler creating colourful, texture-rich illustrations for children’s books. She is an award-winning 2026 graduate from Sheridan College’s Honours Bachelor of Illustration program. She enjoys blending traditional and digital media to craft fun, character-driven artwork that adds whimsy, curiosity and a sense of wonder to every narrative!
